Can anyone confirm whether the pre-trigger buffer works with a group trigger.
To be specific, I have two cameras both set with a 10 second pre-trigger buffer.
They are both in a group where if camera 2 sees motion, it triggers camera 1 to record as well.
Obviously camera 2 records the 10 seconds prior to the trigger.
My question is should I also get the 10 seconds of pre-trigger buffer from camera 1 when it is triggered from camera 2?
Groups and pre-trigger buffer
Re: Groups and pre-trigger buffer
Yes. All cameras in the trigger group will record the pre-trigger and other settings of each camera.
I just tested this to confirm.

Re: Groups and pre-trigger buffer
I'm seeing behaviour that does not reliably match that.
When my No2 Camera recording is triggered by BI motion detection recording of No1 camera seems to be triggered but there is a substantial delay.
When I playback both cameras from the timeline I see recording start for Camera 2 and it may be 8-12 seconds before the Camera 1 recording comes into play. This often means the motion that triggered Camera 2 is not recorded by Camera 1.
This seams a lot worse at night. During the daytime there does appear to be more synchronicity between the recordings but that may be because both cameras have a common area of coverage (but from different angles) and the BI motion detection of camera 1 may be triggering at the same time. At night Camera 1 is less sensitive to movement. It's almost as though the group trigger isn't working.
Both cameras are set for 10 seconds pre-trigger buffer and 30 seconds recording from last trigger.
I am only using one profile 24/7 so am struggling to spot what's different day/night or what config may be wrong.
Any suggestions welcome.

You may want to send BI Support an email about this.
