Enable timeline

How????? I have it on the console, but can't find a way to enable it. Others have had this question from my searches, but no one says how to actually do it.
Coming from XProtect and seriously frustrated.

Hi, can you explain what functionality is missing ?
If I look on the main BI5 screen, I can see the timeline at the bottom of the screen. If I click half way along it, the alerts on the left show that time, and if I double click it, I can see all of the cameras at that time. Pressing Play starts them all playing at that time.
Maybe add a screenshot ?
