As the title says, I can heard sounds play in BI when a zone is triggered, but only if the GUI isn't loaded. (Loaded, not minimized.)
If the GUI is loaded then no sounds occur when a zone is triggered.
Is anyone else seeing this? Why would loading the GUI stop trigger sounds?
I'm using onboard audio and it works perfectly for everything else in the OS. When I test the sounds in BI (setting up the triggers) I hear them play as they should...but I hear nothing when the GUI is loaded and an event triggers a camera.
I started seeing this quite a while ago but it was never a pressing issue. Now that I have things mostly squared away in my BI setup, I'd like to resolve it. How do I get sounds to play with the GUI showing? Any ideas, suggestions?

Hmm, I think you need dual NICs

I've emailed support about this.
