Recording / play back on trigger
I am having a problem playing back my triggered recording. It seems to record when triggered, however when I play the file back in blue iris the first 3 to 5 seconds the screen is black, then you see the remainder of the video. This camera is monitoring a door access, so most of the action is being missed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the camera. I have set up a pre trigger. Nothing seems to work. If anyone has some expertise in the area please share.
Re: Recording / play back on trigger
Hi, so does the camera work normally if you are just watching the feed ? Can you check if it works normally with a continuous recording as a test ? I'm wondering if your "New" folder isn't on a fast enough drive.

Re: Recording / play back on trigger
Hi and thanks for your assistance.
The camera does work normally when it is just being watched.
Placed the camera into continuous recording. Recorded about 2 minutes of video. They playback was a black screen for about 5 seconds then the video played fine.
My system
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz 4.00 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
This computer's only function is to operate the Blue Iris 5 software.

Re: Recording / play back on trigger
OK, the black screen for 5 seconds is not normal, and it points at system delays, so:
1. Have you excluded the BI5 program and folders from AV software scans ? See help file for details.
2. Where is your "New" folder ? Can you test the speed of this drive ?
3. Are you able to slave in a SSD for the "New" folder ? Mine is presently using an old 120GB SSD with the BI5 database.
Hopefully the answers will highlight the issue
