Blue Iris

Where can I find blue iris 4 for download? I had a drive failure. I did go to the BI site, seems it only will DL v5. I did find BI legacy 4 not sure what that was. but downloaded anyway and it will not open. tia

Legacy simply means the previous unsupported version of BI, so yes it should give you the final version of BI4. Licence restrictions were much looser for BI4, so install that and add your BI4 licence details.

If the legacy download installation failed, try downloading and installing it again. If that fails, let support know.

Thanks for explaining, I have contacted support, still waiting to hear back. this is the error i gam getting, not sure if its a common problem

Is this the old missing visual c runtime error?

Have a look in the BI installation folder and see if there are files there with vcredist in the name, check if they are installed and try installing them.

I thought that was for v5 - maybe it doesn't matter, but I know that the Migration Guide on IPCT mentions it when migrating from 4->5. Still worth a shot.

I think lots of people encountered it with v5, i certainly did but at the time didn’t have much to go on so had to do a procmon trace to work out why after install the GUI was crashing.

Totally get it.
