Update crash

I updated my Blue Iris yesterday and developed a problem. The update downloaded performed the updating of files then my problem began. When the Blue Iris splash screen said starting services the computer when black then restarted. When the restart was done and I attempted to reopen Blue Iris I received the error message C:program files\blue Iris 5\blueirisadmin.exe
The file or directory is corrupted an unreadable.

What do I do?

Do you have the option to save updates enabled? If you do then in the BI programs folder, think in a folder called Updates there should be the update files. First thing to try is reinstalling the last update to see if that fixes things.

If it doesn’t then do a disk check, if an SSD run up a util that can read the disks SMART records to see if that reports anything.

Might also be worth downloading the disk manufacturers util to test the hard disk.

If that is fine do a RAM check to make sure there isn’t a problem with the RAM.
