Importing older clips into BI

I have old clips from Logitech Alert Commander (mp4) that I would like to view from within BI. I don't know to do that. I have tried creating the same folder structure, but BI does not recognize the older files. Is the problem that the older files are mp4s, or is there something else I need to do. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

I think you'll find it a futile exercise as the Blue Iris database will have no points of reference for the imported files..., among a variety of other reasons.

You should be able to drop them onto the BI console to view them.

I've tried before. I do not believe so.
