BI5 v5.7.9.10 & 11 - Unsure if a problem, but...

I don't know if it's a problem yet, but I manually installed v5.7.9.10 this afternoon. When BI5 re-started, it immediately installed v5.7.9.11. That means trouble thought I. Sure enough, after checking the Storage settings, various drives had allocation issues. Delete and rebuild database and same. I reverted to v5.7.9.9 and all is well.

I sent a message to Support, so let's see what they say.

Ken assured me that v5.7.9.11 had passed all tests before being released, and was a stable release. This morning I tried again, and installed v5.7.9.11. At first it all looked OK, then after 30 minutes I spotted growing allocation errors on one of my storage drives. The log showed this:

0 16/09/2023 10:14:17.349 Stored2 Delete: 8 items 7.40G [3.59T/3.62T, ? free]

Well that's the first time I've seen "?" free, so BI5 can't tell how much space there is. That explains why it can't move files to that drive. Drives looks normal in Windows Explorer, and there are no errors when scanned. OK, BI5 database delete/rebuild. Took ages, but it's now looking good. Wait an hour - still OK 8-)

All details and logs sent to Ken to peruse.

Note for noobs: Turn OFF auto updates and only update when you have time to fix things. Also tick "Retain a copy of the update package" so that you have an escape route. If the merde hits the ventilateur, then you can double click an older version (Stored in Program Files/Blue Iris 5) to re-install it. You do have to delete a few of the older files occasionally, as they just keep being saved.

Exactly the same happened here. Lost all my new folder! Thought I had a drive on the way out, storage tab was lit up like an 80's disco but as you did Tim reverted back and all ok. Hope Ken sorts it

Did you get the ? Free ?

I'm presently running a test version of BI5 to hopefully show Ken what is happening here.

FWIW this is what it did to my folders at different times. I'm sending Logs to Ken to figure out what is happening here:

I did not see the ? free ?
If I'm honest I went into panic mode. Your very first screenshot where the bar goes over the pie chart was similar to mine but I had red at the start of the bar, and I mean a lot of red. This is not the first time this has happened after an update, I did not have the time to troubleshoot or log anything, will do if it happens again

Fwiw: I think this problem may have been with BI5 for some time, and Ken was adamant that he had found the issue. If you have allocation errors running any recent release then this may fix them. I did do a database delete/ regen following installation. Still looking good and no allocation errors.
