Restarted after unexpected shutdown

Hello all,
After correctly updating Blue Iris, since several versions ago, each time an update is performed, there's a critical log entry:
The shutdown was not unexpected (it was triggered by the update process).
Furthermore, the critical entry reappears in the log in Blue iris interface even after manually clearing it, and the System Tray icon always has a red X blinking over it. There is no way to clear it.
This wasn't the case in the past, I was able to clear the log entry and clean up the system tray icon.
Is there a way to fix this behavior?
