No alert for any of my 3 cams

I have been a BI user for over 10 years now and have been amazed at what BI can do.
For some strange reason none of my cams will produce an ALERT.
The alert I have configured is to play a sound, WAV file. It tests ok when I push the TEST button.
But when the cam triggers for a real trigger, the alert does not happen.
And on the BI status box the alert column stays at ZERO.
On the BI main screen when a trigger happens all of the correct indicators in the upper righthand corner of that particular cam show correctly and a JPG is produced just like I have setup on the RECORD tab so all of that is working properly, just no alert.
I do have on the alert tab “When this camera is triggered” and for trigger sources I have every motion zone and ANY selected.
I see no reason why the alert is not happening. On all three cams.. For real triggers.

I do have a license key so I am getting all of the updates.
OS is Win10 and I have installed all of the updates.
I have 3 cameras, all are SUNBA brand and all are PTZ
All are working normally and as expected.
