Support installing CodeProject AI

Post by jaydenz »

To solve the problem of receiving false warnings in BI due to headlights. I was suggested to handle it by making BI only activate when the camera sends a signal that it sees a person. This depends on the camera's ability to send the ONVIF "Person" event to BI5 and CodeProject AI settings.
Sending the ONVIF event "Person" to BI5 is not possible so the installation of CodeProject AI is required. So how to install CodeProject AI in the fastest and most effective way?

If your camera can do ONVIF "person" detection, then it is by far the easiest method to use. CPAI is complicated, and is basically still a Beta app that requires the user to learn a lot of new things. There are no manuals, but there are some instructions on the CPAI website.

A basic installation of CPAI would start by finding the version of CPAI for your PC and installing it. The next article is out of date but explains How to use CPAI with BI5. Have a look around their website, as they have many other interesting videos.

Following that, come back here and ask questions. Be aware that CPAI needs powerful hardware to work well. Also don't use it on all of your cameras unless you really need to.
