How achieve triggered recording until actvity ceases?

II want to achieve behaviour when camera starts recording on triggered activity and does not cease until this activity stops (within a reasonable time, which I set to 1 hour at the moment, but ideally there would be no cap).
However, when I set it up like shown below, it starts recording, which sometimes can go for anywhere between 1 and 5 minutes, as a single clip. However, this clip has skips in the video, sometimes reaching few minutes.
What is wrong with this behaviour is:
1. Video skipping in the clip
2. Video clip ending before action that would normally trigger a camera ends.
Please provide guidance on how to set it up to achieve the desired behaviour.
I have 5.9.5.3 version which has cameras setup like this.
