I know similar questions have been asked, but I'm trying to figure out if an Optiplex 9040 will suffice for my setup. I've got 8 reolink cameras running on an NVR and I plan to add a switch to dual-store/run to a separate Blue Iris machine. They're all 4k or better.
The machine i'm looking at has - i believe - an i5-4590 for under $100 (4gB RAM but I can add more if that becomes a limiter). I've seen a lot on here recommending at least an i5-6500, but from what I can tell, this is pretty close (includes quicksync).
Do you think this will suffice for my needs? I don't plan to add more than one additional camera, if any and am primarily trying to find a low-ish cost setup for Blue Iris that improves review of footage/remote access over the Reolink NVR.

Just my personal opinion but I’d be looking at getting something with an i5 8th gen at minimum as that is the lowest gen that officially support Windows 11.
I currently run an i5-6500 and if you are planning on running CP AI then from what I’ve found the CPU doesn’t have enough oomph so another reason to go for an 8th gen and above.
