Blue Iris

I was changing video settings to try and lower my CPU usage. Blue Iris crashed on me, I tried opening Blue Iris back up, but the window kept disappearing on me! So my registered copy of BI closes on me or crashes upon trying to open! Help! My computer is an i7 CPU with 16GB RAM. It was working fine until I changed the video settings.

I have the settings stored, and even uninstalled BI. Then re installed. Still, the opening screen opens then disappears. Blue Iris refuses to open!!! Help, thanks

What video setting did you change, was it in BI or Windows, it would be very useful to know this information in order to provide any sort of suggestions!

You can get this if you enable hardware acceleration for example on a cam but the cam doesn’t support it.

Only way I have see people recover from this is to open up the registry, locate where BI stored stuff and then identify the registry key/value and flip it.

The other way which is more drastic is to uninstall BI, then delete the registry branch for BI and then start over.
