Upgrade/Renew Link Errors

I am trying to renew BlueIris 5 for 1 year. When I go to upgrade/renew setting and click on the link that says One year extension of maintenance ($39.95) I get a message of Failed to create HTTP Listener; check network and security software restrictions. All the links say the same message. I uninstalled and reinstalled same problem. I heard about not renewing threw mycommerce website.

Please email Support. What version are you upgrading from ? Maybe you can do this from the main BI5 website ?

I am not upgrading. Just renewing Blue Iris 5 for 1 year. I could not use renewal option in settings i get Failed to create HTTP Listener; check network and security software restrictions, On all the options for renewal. I went to the main website and renewed there and put my mycommerce order number in the optional info box. I did contact support.

The reason I asked which version you are upgrading from, is that older versions of BI5 use MyCommerce, and the posts in the forum tell you that is a big problem. I believe newer versions have a link to the new payment method. I'm thinking you may be failing due to that.

I have BlueIris 5 on another pc that is win10 and that worked. I went to the upgrade/renew button and the options there worked. I clicked on the renew for one year and it loads browser to new payment website and the options settings displays message don't close settings window until payment is finished. When payment is done, browser displays message to close browser window and return to Blueiris settings. I closed that window and the main settings page displays new expire date. The pc that am having a problem with is win11. Both pcs have Avast for security. When going threw the same renew process and clicking on one of the payment options. I am getting the message "Failed to create HTTP Listener; check network and security software restrictions" I think the error is something to do with loading browser, I tried to change default browser from Firefox/Chrome/Edge, no difference. I checked my security settings and they are same on both pcs. The error sounds like a change in how the program deals with Win11.

New Version 5.9.9.1. The error message now displays "Failed to create HTTP Listener on Port 9999; Check Network Conflicts And Security Software Restrictions. I Have Avast set to allow all for BlueIris, In/out Ports in settings. Turning off Avast Firewall does nothing.

Do you have a Firewall rule for port 9999 on the Win11 pc ? I guess it shouldn't be that since you disabled the firewall, but this www post has a familiar error.

I tried Allowing port 9999 on avast and windows firewall no luck.
