Blue Iris Android App Version 3.0.46 on Android version 13 freezes when connecting to Blue Iris server version 5.9.9.0.
Band Aid:
In Android go to Settings/ Apps/ Blue Iris/ Storage then Clear Cache & Clear Data followed by rebuild of Edit Login produces restored functionality.
Note: This problem does not happen on Android version 11.
Note: The server does not freeze. The Android App freezes.
Note: I am not British. When I try to change that at signup it kicks me out of the registration process.
Note: I am not in UTC-4 time zone. When I try to change that at signup it kicks me out of the registration process.
Some people I respect very much recommend BI software. I'm in the testing phase. I like it. But there are threads on here from years ago about this very problem and it goes unanswered. These guys can't (or chose not to) build a forums registration page that doesn't crash when you simply click a drop down. Really thinking hard about investing in them. And I don't mean the $100 or whatever it is for the software. I'm talking about all the work and infrastructure to build a system that I'm going to rely on when I need it most. We'll start out with about 10 cameras and give that a shot. If this cell phone App keeps freezing that's likely to be a deal breaker. Too bad. Looks like nice software.
