Is there a way in Blue Iris to force a PTZ camera to continuously pan to get a 270 degree field of view? If not, are there cameras that have a configuration to do that natively? Maybo this is a goofy idea Is this too ambitious and should I just mount two cameras side by side to cover the area I wish to cover?
Thanks,
Matt
Continuous Pan
Re: Continuous Pan
I would suspect that many PTZ cameras would not be up to running continuously in pan mode, probably would wear out the drive system prematurely!
Get yourself a 180 degree view 2 lens camera or several regular cameras!

Re: Continuous Pan
I agree the mechanism will wear out rapidly. Also note all those Movies where the person waits for the camera to pan away, and then runs past it unseen.
PTZ are great after your fixed cameras cover the required area. Also OK if normally used in a fixed position, then used as PTZ when you want to see something else. I do it that way because I snagged a box of Dahua PTZ's at a knock down price
