BI - PTZ cannot get it to work with Hisseu Camera

Post by pauld »

HI, I have an issue with ( Model 2 -HD918-P(8MP 4K). Model Number = HD914-P/HD918-P ).

I used the FIND/inspect to find the camera but it does not find the right one ( It finds "Cantonk " which does NOT work ) so I used this line instead "rtsp://userxxx:password@192.168.1.210:554/ch0_0.264" and IT WORKS FOR THE VIDEO PART ONLY.

However my ptz does not work and when I go to the PTZ/Control I don't see Hisseu anywhere so what can I choose ?.

--------------------------------- Update ------------------------------------
I sent an support email to the company and awaiting response but don't expect much help for BI! - I sent the text and images below, perhaps this might give a bit more insight into the issue!

PTZ issues with Model Number HD914-P/HD918-P

HI, I am having problems getting video OR PTZ to work in Onvif Device Manager v2.2.250 and wondering if you can help me.

1: I can find the camera but it does not show an image PTZ does not work IN ONvif device manager OR Blueiris 5.9.9.7

2: If I click Web page" in Onvif device manager It opens up internet explorer but I get a script and nothing else.

3: I can enter into the camera settings ONLY by entering the address directly into my browser then PTZ does work so it's not the physical camera problem. it's the communication between camera and Onvif I believe!

Try another Find/Inspect in Blue Iris using Generic/ONVIF as the camera make. The model will default to *RTSP / / / /. Use port 80 instead of port 8099 and see if you get better results. If you indeed generate a list of ONVIF based compatibility charachteristics, you will likely have the associated PTZ protocol automatically populated in the PTZ configuration screen -- probably just 'ONVIF'.

As for ONVIF Device Manager, if you can specify a TCP control port in the camera firmware, (or a default is already established) append it to the IP address separated by a colon for scanning -- e.g. 192.168.1.210:8099.

Try the Find/Inspect approach first. If the objective is to get things working in Blue Iris, ODM is little more than a distraction until the desired port(s) of the camera are known.
