Blue Iris

Hi I am using Blue iris for a while now and working great. would like to connect remotely with my android through the app. I know I can connect using port forwarding but don't like the idea due to security vulnerabilities. Is there another way I can connect? I use cloudfare for another service. can I set it up for blue Iris? I can use VPN but already have Microsoft defender. Don't necessarily want to use another

I don't know Cloudflare, but I do use Zerotier for securing my remote mobile phone BI5 app access, so if Cloudflare is anything similar it will be worth looking into.

The Zerotier (ZT) client acts like a virtual NIC on the BI5 PC, giving me a virtual LAN connection stretching from my home network to anywhere where you have installed another ZT client. If Cloudflare can do that then it's worth a try. ZT Works for Plex, Emby etc as well. And so far it's free.

I had previously used OpenVPN but that was seriously hard work, and my wife wouldn't use it. ZT is much simpler.
