Person, Vehicle and Wildlife Objects

Post by pandat »

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know what the new AI objects in the AI settings tab are for? There are "Person Objects", "Vehicle Objects" and "Wildlife Objects" which contain the list of the possible AI labels that fall under those objects. I tried to use it for detection, rather than listing "cat, dog, etc" I used "wildlife" and when I load the .dat for an alert, I can see that it expanded "wildlife" in to all the correct labels, .i.e. wildlife became cat, dog, and so on. But when I use "person" or "vehicles", it doesn't expand those. Possibly those object names already conflict with label names, so there might be another way to specify them? I couldn't find any information in the help file about these new objects.

Thanks!

I spotted in the news info when I updated BI5 that AI enhancements were being made to BI5, but I hadn't looked to see what they are.

OK, I checked and I can see it in General Settings/AI but even though the Help file shows this screen, it doesn't have any information about it. Since the objects are different in the custom models I ***guess*** they are only for the default model.

I am pretty sure that those lists define the items on the model lists that will cause BI to assign a "paw", a "person" or a "vehicle" icon to the confirmed alerts.

That makes sense, I think you are correct
