Reolink Doorbell ONVIF Visitor Event Duplicated

Post by dbowles1975 »

I am using the Reolink PoE doorbell to trigger an Amazon Echo to announce when someone presses the doorbell. Everything works, except that the message is being duplicated because BI is seeing the "Visitor" ONVIF event twice. I guess it's seeing the button press as two changes... pressed, then not pressed.

Is there a way in Blue Iris to have alerts tied to that ONVIF event only sent once even with BI seeing the event twice?

Hi, can you explain how the Echo announces the doorbell ? How did you set it up ? How is BI5 triggering the Echo ?
I think this is usually done directly, so am interested how this works.
