Low FPS/Key Frame

Post by Watchman »

Added my first SV3C camera BI5 and have tried multiple settings on camera and BI5 but, I am getting very low FPS/Key Frame (FPS/Key = 12.49/0.12) on Blue Iris and the "exclamation in triangle" appears. When video is recorded, many frames seemed dropped (rtsp or http). See images below for config. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The setting for the key frame rate are controlled entirely from the camera, BI does not control it in anyway, is this happening during the day or at night? your setting in the camera look OK to me, I have both frame rates set to 15 on main and sub streams and the key frame rate set to 15 on both also, not much need to have higher frame rates for surveillance work from what I have been told!

Hi BruceH, happening during the day and night. I will try setting the FPS & Key to 15 and update. Thanks.

Set FPS & Key to 15 ... no change ... getting same 12.xx/0.12 ... sent SV3c support an email.

None of my cameras use the port number and stream identifier in the RTSP URL. They are all listed in BI's special fields. Maybe that is what is causing confusion in BI?

Heard back from SV3C support. Camera is limited to 15 FPS. I set FPS/Key on camera to 12/12.
Issue resolved, now BI reports FPS/Key = 12.xx/1.00.
Would have preferred FPS 15, but that's the camera's limitation. :(

Thanks for your responses.
