clip storage on a seperate drive question

My Blue Iris runs on C drive and I back up those clips on an E drive. Once I view the clip on C, I delete it and it disappears from the E drive as well. Is there a way to delete from the C drive, but leave the backup clip on the E drive intact without auto deleting it?

Not that I am aware of, if you export the BVR file to another folder that is out of control of BI then BI can not delete it when you delete the alert, Sorry I have never looked into this to see if it can be automated.

If you designate another storage location, like AUX1 (which you can rename to anything by slow double clicking), I think you can make New clips copy to that and set its own rules to AUX1 (never delete, never expire, anything).
