Blue Iris

I looked at the network traffic and saw that BI calls "panoviewer.fastipview.com" all the time. Dows anyone know what that is?

http://panoviewer.fastipview.com/ leads me to the server test page of DeepStack (localhost:80)

From here that URL led to "This site can't be reached". A Google search for "What is panoviewer.fastipview.com" shows a MAC app to view specific IP cams and it looks like Apple isn't happy with their privacy details. Do you have a MAC ?

OP: Please let us know how you found this so we can check too. If it's on my PC I will be asking Support.

To see the URLs BI is reaching out to:
1. Open Task Manager as Administrator (may work w/o admin but that's what I did)
2. Switch to Performance tab
3. At the bottom left, click "Open Resource Monitor"
4. Expand the Network bar and enlarge the Network section to see all BlueIris.exe calls
5. Leave it like that for a few minutes
6. Observe BI calls to all URLs

It seems like the URL is related to CPAI, but I could not find an explanation of what CPAI might use it for.
I too googled and found a reference to a Mac / iOS app, but that does not appear related. I am not using a Mac and BI is not on a VM, it is on a standalone Win 10 PC.

You are correct. I should have explored more before asking. A ping to panoviewer.fastipview.com returns 127.0.0.1, localhost.
I guess that CPAI adds this record to known hosts table when it is set up. Why, I do not know. So it looks like this is the CPAI server on localhost.
