How to send Blue Iris Motion alerts into IFTTT and then Smartthings

Setup BlueIris Alerts

Login to the BlueIris Admin interface

Right click on a camera and select Settings.



Click ‘On Alert’



Click on the +



Select Web request to MQTT

Fill out the Description like this:

Description: Dining Room motion send webhoook IFTTT

Set the https:// line to





Click OK


Click OK

Clock ‘on reset’



Click on the +



Select Web request of MQTT



Set the Description and https:/ line



Setup IFTTT Rules

Login to IFTTT and click on Create in the top right





Click on Add




Type in ‘Webhooks’ for the service



Click on ‘Receive a web request’




For the Event Name, type in:
0345430937812.camera.kitchen

Note: 0345430937812 is a random long number

Click ‘Create Trigger”




Click on ‘Add’ by then That

How to send the Event to Smartthings

Type in smartthing



Click on ‘Switch on’




Smarthings Account = My Home

Click on the drop down by ‘Which Device’



Chose ‘Motion Sensor Camera Kitchen”


Click ‘Create Action’



Click ‘Continue’



Inside the box ‘Applet’ title, name the title:
Camera Kitchen Motion



Repeat the above steps and this time create a Webhook called

0345430937812.camera.kitchen_clear



Click ‘Create the Trigger’.

For the service, type in smartthing



Then select ‘Switch Off’



Select ‘Motion Sensor Camera Kitchem’



Click ‘Create Action’

Click Continue



For AppLet Title, type in:

Webhook Camera Kitchen Motion Clear



Click My Applets to back up

Did you obfuscate any private keys ? I use Homeseer and Home Assistant, but thank you for your post.
