Anyone using OpnSense routers and VLANs for their camera network?

I'm trying to isolate my cameras in a vlan and am having some trouble.

Not sure if it is the way I defined the ports on my managed switch or if it is in my vlan definition on my OpnSense router.

I can get into the details and post some of my config below.

If anyone spots my error I would be very appreciative.

There has to be some nerds here who have done this...

Thanks....

Rather than dual post, here is a reddit thread where I am asking for help over there...

Uhg, can someone please reduce the timer for allowing posting consecutive posts. This restriction seems a little overly cautious.

I think there is only a restriction from Tapatalk after doing some tests a year or two ago. Are you using that ?

Oh, and the simplest way to isolate those pesky cameras from the mothership is to use a second NIC. 10.0.0.1: Works a treat and my brain doesn't hurt

No, from the web page I cannot post twice in like 60 or 120 seconds.

Second NIC means a separate hub and wiring to the location of the BI machine (separate hub to aggregate the camera cables and a separate wire to the BI machine for the second nic). No? I was hoping to just put my cameras on noted vlan ports in my comm cabinet and be done with it.

I use an ASUS router and fix the IP address for each BI camera. Then I block them from having access to the internet.

Yes, I could do that. But since I am a nerd, I need to do things like I am running 2000 cameras even though I am only running four :D
