"No signal" errors in blue iris?

Post by MichelleGrant »

I have been suffering "no signal" error from stream that have been working solid until last week. My cameras are working normally when using them with cameras own app. They are online, they have ip address. For some reason blue iris shows them as "no signal" until connection is restored for some reason (according blue iris log). This happens multiple times per day. I have 7 cameras and they all are doing exactly the same.

Have you eliminated cabling as a fault?

I used to get something similar but only with 1 cam and it turned out to be a not quite properly fitted UTP connector plug which once it was replaced fixed my issue.

Are you running your camera signal through your internet router to get to your BI PC or do you have a dedicated NIC for BI in the BI PC?

The other thing I thought of is this happening during dusk/dawn when the cams flick from daylight to night time?

Reason I ask is there is a BI option to signal a black/white image as no signal?

I get this a lot with one of my crappy wifi eufy cameras that doesn't have real onvif, just a stream you can configure. It will work fine for a day maybe then it'll reconnect dozens of times the next day. Sometimes I have to restart BI for it to start working. I have some Amcrest wifi cameras and they work ok, but I'll be working towards moving these few wifi cameras to something else that has proper onvif and off wifi.
