Have you clicked 'Repair/regenerate? In the cliplist, right-click anywhere and select 'Database', then 'Repair/Regenerate'. Then, run 'Maintenance' (from same Database menu). Does this fix the errors?
If not, check the BI log for that error message to see is it says anything more specific.

I've used a file 'unlocker' from IObit in the past. It's saved me a great deal of hassle.
It can be downlaoded from the IObit website at: https://www.iobit.com/en/products.php
Or, from MajorGeeks at: https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/detail ... ocker.html

If either of the above 2 errors cannot be fixed, you can always start with a new database. I do this from time-to-time when I've had similar issues, or when I want to 'clean-up' BI.

1. Shutdown BI.

2. Optional, and ONLY if this is a dedicated hard drive exclusively used for BI data and recordings, with nothing else on it.
Format the hard drive. Just right click on the drive letter and select format. Make sure 'quick format' is selected.
WARNING - formatting the BI hard drive will delete all data without possibility of recovering them.
This will definitely remove all those pesky files that cannot be deleted!

3. Skip this if you formatted the hard drive.
Delete the 'BlueIris' data folder - not the program folder. This will delete the database and ALL recordings. The 'BlueIris' data folder and all necessary sub folders will be generated when you start BI.

4. Start BI.
You will have a clean BI database with no clips/recordings - except any new continuous recordings.

I also get these errors. Except the last part of the error is: Setup failed: 483 for 'streaming temp 7010432'
I only get them when I login using the phone app and when I use the UI. And, I get the errors when switching group views and switching cameras. I imagine my issue has to do with streaming. Yours may be different. Do you get them from withing the BI program, and/or when using the phone aqpp/UI?

I sent this to BI support. their response was...
the error means that you have selected Nvidia encoding, yet your card either does not support it, or you are using more than it allows. Many cards only allow 1 or 2 encoding sessions. Please see this matrix: https://developer.nvidia.com/video-enco ... ort-matrix
I haven't been able to make any sense of the matrix link. So, I have no idea. But, it's probably a limitation of my graphic card! I'm running a Nvideo GTX 750ti.

1, tried repair/regenerate, works for probably a day then starts again.
2, have not tried a file unlocker, just wanted to know if i can find out what is locked.
3, i clean the whole database every so often including manually transfering all clips to my NAS (for some reason BI won't write to it) and formating the drives
4 so i presume NVENC is NVidia ENCoding? i recenly enabled it on one camera ( only one camera ) because it was constanly freezing when it was triggered, it seems to have stopped the freezing
but for some reason must be causing the error.
the errors appear even when i have not used the phone app, i very rarely use the UI.

thanks for your help

Looks like your NVENC issue is something entirely different... but probably related. Have you sent BI support the error message?

The locked file is in the BI New folder (as you already know). I suppose you could pause BI, then delete all files in the NEW folder. The remaining file should be the one that is locked. You can always 'restore' the deleted files from the recycle bin. Then un-pause BI, and it should just continue.

have not sent support a message yet but will do, will post back with response.
