I'd like to set one of my cameras to always be recording and when a motion trigger is detected it inputs a marker time stamp and that way I can go to that point in my recording when reviewing, and if need be, export a time range at or around that marker. Instead of the way I have I have it now where motion trigger activates the recording. Is that possible? That's the one thing I miss from my old system.

Yes, On the recording tab change the recording option to continuous and it should act how you want as long as the triggers tab is still set to trigger on motion.
