I have 2 PTZ Cams that work well with the android app but I have no PTZ control with Blue Iris
HIKVISION PTZ - DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3
DAHUA PTZ - DH-SD22204UE-GN
I have the appropriate boxes checked within Blue Iris to allow PTZ control & I even see the up-down etc. arrows on the screen. but they do not move the cam.
I e-mail'd support 4 weeks ago, no response.
Any ideas?, Thanks
Blue Iris version 5 & PTZ

Hi ORD312,
I know I keep saying this, but did you use the info from the "Email Support" button in BI settings ? They will use that to prioritise support issues.

Re: Blue Iris version 5 & PTZ
I used the E Mail support button provided within BI to request help with the PTZ function not working in V.5 which also took a snapshot of my operating system.
I'm new to BI and thought my original purchase would have included some support, but apparently no. I'd pay extra for support if I thought I would receive it, but at this point I feel as if I'd be wasting my money. I was hoping the forum could recommend some things for me to check to get the PTZ function working.

I have the same camera and BI5. Try going to camera settings/PTZcontrol and check the camera model at Network IP. There is a Hikvision DS-2DE one listed and thats what works here. The default setting was Hikvision/Abus and it did not work although the arrows were displayed.

Hi David,
I verified the settings and they were as you suggested.
Why your cams PTZ works and mine doesn't, I don't know. But it works fine within the Hikvision app.
I swapped out the network cable and POE port just in case, but it didn't make any difference. Thanks for the reply, but PTZ doesn't work for me. I see the arrows, but no movement using BI version 5.
No response from BI support.

This is my first post, just installed blue iris as a demo last weekend, I have this model camera (according the Amazon description) that will not work on my ALIBI NVR, so that's why I am trying Blue Iris. Anyhow, just wanted to report in to say Thanks, and I have PTZ contorls now working using the above settings.
