Camera feeds frozen

Suddenly Blue Iris is showing frozen camera feeds... no live video... just a still. If I mess with it a little, I can get the still to update, but it's still just a frozen image and there is no live video.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm using 5.1.0.0.

Well, silly me. I must have triggered the "Pause live" button unknowingly... or it was somehow activated. Since I don't use that function and didn't know about it, I didn't know how to fix.

So if this ever happens to you.... make sure that pause button at the top/right of the camera window is not triggered/pressed/activated.

i knew i had this problem before but could not think why. now i remember that when playing back a clip the 'x' to close it is right above the pause button.

No problem.

I suggested that they add something to the status bar like "Live video paused." when it is paused. If I had seen that then I likely would have figured it out without having to bug them for support. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has accidentally pressed that button in the top right corner by mistake.

I had the same problem last week when I did an upgrade. I had never accidentally turned on that pause before. The upgrade also turned on the "limit live preview rate" under main settings, cameras and that was quite annoying until if figured it out.

I also had wondered whether an update or bug had turned it on.

And I also wonder about the wisdom of retaining the pause setting after shutdown. If the pause setting was not retained, then exiting and relaunching the program would have fixed it. Who wants the live video paused all the time that the setting should be remembered across program launches? I guess maybe someone who doesn't watch it much?

Oh well... I'm glad it's working again. :)
